The first design looks rather old fashioned, and would fit in an old fashioned bedroom in an old fashioned house.
The second is not quite so old fashioned but would still look nice in the old fashioned bedroom.

I like all the designs in this project file, and the one above is certainly no exception.
The second design looks very busy, but if it was a real quilt I would not use contrast quilting thread so the effect would be much more restful.

Love the design above.
Love the second design too, but in a real quilt some of the quilting motifs would be changed to filler designs … straight lines, cross hatch or stippling, and use thread matching the background for those areas, contrast thread for the remaining motifs.

It would be a lot of work to make, but worth the effort if you had the right space to show it off.
More work to make the second, but it would be very impressive.

I love this collection of blocks which were inspired by an old scrap of linoleum found at the bottom of a drawer.
A lot of the shapes could make rather nice embroidery designs as well as the applique and quilting motifs I have used them for.

Moved into a house, found a dried up scrap of linoleum in a kitchen draw … and played with the shapes … and I am still playing five years later.
Some of the shapes have survived quite a few mutilations, and I doubt if most of them look anything like the inspirational originals, but I am still enjoying modifying them, and love the designs possibilities of my play times.
I love both of the designs above.

I love these designs, and still am amazed that I managed to turn a scrappy piece of lino into some very interesting designs for quilts. Well, I think they are interesting, even if no-one else does!
If nothing else, they are unique!

Very interesting. Room for some creative quilting in the first design.
Love the second design, which also includes some space for creative quilting, though in some of the spaces I would use some very simple lines.

Yesterday’s designs were inspired by an old spoon, today’s designs were inspired by a scrap of old lino. My only excuse is that I like old stuff!
I love the second one!

These designs make me think of some of teh antique designs I have seen.
I love the last one as it has a bit more open space between the applique,

I like it. These designs use similar colours to the 1970s floor covering the block designs are based on, just after the 60s orange started to become unfashionable.
I love the second one, but am not happy with the way the quilting looks here. Perhaps my virtual thread is too thick, or the design has too much detail.
